A Special Visitor

Ms. Cheryl Sullivan

Ms. Sullivan came to visit. She was so great. Ms. Sullivan read some books and told everyone all about Johnny Appleseed. She had several different kinds of apples. She gave everyone a sample of an apple and a seed to take home to plant. We really enjoyed her visit.

Apple Activities

Apple Math ~ The children each had an apple for this activity. They drew a picture of their apple and recorded what color it was. Then they weighed their apple to see how many bears it took.

Next, the children measured the circumference of their apple with string and measured it with bears.

This activity is from AIMS.

The children all ate an apple and we graphed how many seeds were in each apple. We then made math problems with the seeds.

I read the children the story called "Little Red House with no doors or windows and a star inside ". After reading the story, we cut the apple open to see the star.
