Dinosaurs

   In the dictionary  the word   "Extinct" means  no longer existing in the living state.   Dinosaurs are extinct but they are so exciting to learn about.

Myths about Dinosaurs

  •  Not all huge prehistoric animals were dinosaurs.

  •  No dinosaurs could fly or swim.

  •  Not all dinosaurs were huge.

Facts about Dinosaurs

  •  Dinosaurs lived on the earth a very long time ago.

  •  The last ones died about 65 million years ago.

  •  There were hundreds of different kinds of dinosaurs.

  •  The "Dinosaur Age" was divided into 3 periods. The Triassic, the Jurassic, and The  Cretaceous.

  •   Dinosaur babies hatched from eggs.

  •   Some dinosaurs lived in families.

  •   Some dinosaurs were  very large and some were very small.

  •   Some dinosaurs were plant eaters and they were called " herbivores".

  •   Other dinosaurs were meat eaters and they were called "carnivores"

  •   The word dinosaur means "Terrible Lizard".
