How Do You Cook a Turkey?

   Our class wrote recipes  about the Thanksgiving turkey and how their family prepared them.  We hope you enjoy reading  our recipes.

       My dad got it at Walmart.  I cooked it in the oven overnight.  The stove was on 400 degrees.  We will wash it off then I will put some butter on it.

     I killed it in the woods and I cooked it with sauce and pepper on it.  I turned the oven on 300.  It weighed 20 pounds.

       I got it at the store.  We put it on 75 degrees.  It weighed 65 pounds.  I put dressing in it and then I put salt on it and I put more dressing and more salt.

          I got my turkey in the woods.  I pounded his guts out.  I put him in the oven for 60 minutes.  He was 600 pounds.  I put salt and pepper on him.

          My dad shot it.  It weighed 80 pounds.  I took the lungs out.  We cooked him on 500 degrees for 90 minutes.  We put sauce and pepper on him.  Then we ate him up.  It was yummy!

             My daddy won the turkey.  My mom cooked the turkey.  I cooked it for 5 minutes.  I put pepper on it and fruit.  It weighed 40 pounds.  I cooked it for five minutes.  I ate it at my Grandma's.

               My mom wet it a boiled it.  My mom put it in the oven and I cooked it on 70 degrees.  Then I put some dressing on it and it weighed 40 pounds.  I cooked it for 1 minute.  I ate it at my Mawmaw's.

                 It was on the ground, so I grabbed him.  My brother hit him with a stick.  So, I told my brother to help me get him up.  I asked my parents if we could keep some of the feathers.   I washed him with a rag then we cleaned the inside out.  He weighed about 6 pounds.
