Welcome to our unit on space. The children loved doing this unit. We learned all about the sky, planets and the sun. Each student created their own planet and did a report on what life was like on their planet. Please click below on the planet to view their work.

I asked my students if they would or would not like to be an astronaut. The following is their answers to my question. Some of their answers are really cute.

Katie Beth	I would like to be an astronaut because it would be cool flying in the air and being in the clouds. The rocket will blast off and it was cool learning about astronauts.
Melody	I don't want to because I don't want to sit on the toilet and I don't want to to be on the moon
Kinsleigh	I would want to be an astronaut because I would like to see what it looks like in space. I would like to see if there were people on other planets.
Mary Beth	I would not like to be an astronaut because I do not want to die. I don not want my head to hurt and I do not want to be sucked to the toilet.
Emeline	I would because I would like to float around. It would be cool to sleep with my head strapped down.
Brock	I would like to because I would like to float around. I would like to see all the planets.
Hayley	I would not because I don't want to suck food from a bag.
Sydney	I would because I want to see the moon. I want to put the flag on the moon.
Brooke	I would not because I do not like dry food.
Gwendolyn	I would because it would be cool.
Bradley	I would not because I want to drink food.
Taylor	I would not . I would be scared.
Lexy	I would not because I don't want to be in space forever. I don't want to die!!
Kadee	I would not because I would be scared.
Hannah R	I would not because it is dangerous and hot. I would miss my family and I would be scared.
Shelby Kate	I would not like to be an astronaut. I do not like to drink food. I don't want to get stuck out in space. I would be scared.
Ethan	I would like to be an astronaut because I want to see the moon. It is funny.
Evan	I would not because I would not like the food.
Avery	I would not because of the food.

	My alien's name is Hgielnil He is from Mars. He is 100 years old. His favorite food is chicken and bread. Hgielnil loves to hide from people. I hope to learn about where he lives. I hope that I can teach him how to be good. Kinsleigh
	My alien's name is Nagrom He is from CooCoo. Nagrom is 12,000,000,000 years old. He had nightmares before he came to Earth. He likes to eat chicken heads. He likes to play with his hands. I hope he teaches me how to shock people. I hope that I can teach him to take turns. Evan
	My alien's name is Ydolem. He comes from Planet M&M. He is 100,00 years old. He played games all day on Ydolem. He likes to eat pizza. His favorite thing to do is play football. I hope to learn to be crazy with him. I hope to teach him to be nice. Melody
	My alien's name is Yxel. He comes from Planet Fooy. He is 200. He was happy on his planet. He loves to eat flies. He throws other aliens in a pool for fun. I hope he can teach me how to jump low. I want to teach him how to play tag. Lexy
	My alien's name is Nylodnewg. He comes from Koorb. He is 300,000,000 years old. He came to Earth to try to be happy. He likes to eat bread. His favorite thing is to jump out on people. I hope to teach him to talk normal Gwendolyn
	My alien's name is Coo Coo Head. She comes from Crazy Head. She is 25 and likes to eat flower petals. She said her planet was ugly. Coo Coo likes to bobk other aliens on the head. I hope she teaches me how to scare people I am going to teach her to talk normal. Brooke
